Positive Postcard Project

Connecting humanity with words of encouragement and hope.

An on-site secular service project to complement any event or meeting.

Before the event

HCO will contact the charity regarding any special messaging requests, donation requests, and educational material about the charity, as well as to ensure they have the means of distribution for the postcards.

If you don’t have a charity in mind, we can make suggestions.

During the event

HCO provides a table, postcards, pens, suggested messages, and information about the benefiting charity. We will provide a brief overview of the project and the charity to the group. We can also collect in-kind donations for the charity at the event (e.g., a food drive for the Center’s pantry).

After the event

HCO will hand-deliver or mail the cards and collected donations to the charity, whichever is appropriate (cost of postage will be covered by the event host)

Where the cards go

I can suggest target audiences (such as domestic violence shelters, deployed veterans, children’s hospitals, or LGBTQ+ service centers) or we can focus on a charity that your business or organization already supports.

Inclusion Education Benefit

In addition to the service component and learning about the recipient charity, we educate about perspective diversity.

Messages sent to encourage others should be uplifting to every recipient. We talk about the impact of biased language and using language that connects with everyone.
